"The Neck Mess"

It feels fitting that my first post about THE STACK, highlights the woman who unknowingly started it all.
Before Maison LDC. Before the mood boards, Dog Ears, social media—and before I knew anything about “styling” beyond flipping through fashion mags—there was Hayley.
Hayley is one of those effortlessly cool women who always wore stacks of delicate gold, vintage vinyls, and pavé like it was second nature. Her way of layering—mixing metals (before it was a thing) in a totally unbothered fashion—lit something in me. She wasn’t loud or trying too hard. She was just cool. She made jewelry feel personal. Intentional. Collected—not just worn.
A neck mess is curated chaos - it’s an intentional mix of multiple necklaces, varying in lengths, textures, pendants and metals all worn together to create a curated yet effortless vibe
I was a freshman in high school when I bought my first piece of “real” jewelry—from Hayley Style. I wear it to this day as it is one of my favorite pieces. In fact, there is one left and it won’t be brought back… the iconic silver smith necklace
Fast forward to now, and my own stack has evolved—but the core idea remains the same: telling a story through what you layer.
My current rotation is a mix of statement, staple, and everyday—each piece carrying a little history, a little attitude, and a lot of intention.
THE QUIET STATEMENT (One of my favorite stacks)

I DON’T PICK SIDES - especially when its between two metals
STACKED WITH COLOR - unsung heroes of any good arm party.

Let me leave you with something.
There is one piece from her collection that has lived in my head—and on my wishlist—for over a decade. I can close my eyes and picture it perfectly. It’s one of those pieces that lives rent-free in your head… and eventually, hopefully, on your collarbone.
